udovdh: this is a bug in the radeonhd driver, please don't bother us with it.
udovdh: they include their own radeon_drm.h which they need to fix.
airlied: udovdh: yes the radeon_drm.h includes kernel defines, it used to work fine, (radeon does the same thing, I need to fix it)
udovdh: kernel includes used to work
udovdh: kernel includes change
udovdh: so it is a readeonhd issue
udovdh: I am not a developer here
udovdh: but this looks debatable at this point in time
airlied: udovdh: they weren't kernel incldues before
airlied: they were libdrm includes.
airlied: they moved to the kernel
airlied: which cleaned them up as part of its install proicess.
udovdh: hmmm.. ok...
udovdh: so there's a bit more history
udovdh: so the radeonhd (and other) code nust be changed
udovdh: instead of the `central ` kernel code
airlied: having __user in userspace headers wasn't meant to happen,
airlied: it just happened us DRI developers are useless.
udovdh: ok, thanks for the background
udovdh: I hope the devs can make something of this
airlied: its just s/__user// s/DEPRECATED//
udovdh: sounds doable.. ;-)
ndim: Meh. Last time I had looked at drm/drm.h, it was still using __user and DEPRECATED.
ndim: Should have updated to new F10 first before complaining :-/
udovdh: ndim, so it is doable to fix this?
Kano: what could be the problem?
ndim: udovdh: http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/driver/xf86-video-ati/commit/?id=da021c36bbdf3bca31ee50ebe01cdb9495c09b36
udovdh: ndim, thanks. git doesn't give me that patch yet?
Jin^eLD: guys, it is advisable to use radeonhd on Fedora 10 with a Mobility Radeon HD 3400 series card?
ArdRigh: Hi all
ArdRigh: I have a Sapphire Radeon HD4870 1GB card, that doesn't work very well at all in Fedora 10
ArdRigh: Is this card support by the radeonhd driver?
edman007: almost december, am i going to have any 3d at all by x-mas for my r600?
